Families are five wolves and a cat deciding what to have for dinner – Michael Dean After Dark radio archive

Macho libertarian flasher

Nikki Darling and Michael W. Dean wax poetic about the issue of how hard it is to love people who basically believe the world is flat.

  1. This was the episode you mentioned Nikita, right?

If you like shows like this, you should probably stay away from “Alias”. For all of Jennifer Garner’s hotness, the show’s premise doesn’t make much sense to a follower of the NAP: “I’ve been cheated! All these years I thought I was lying and stealing and killing for the good guys, and now I found out it was really for the bad guys!” Much better is “Dark Angel”–Jessica Alba, drones to keep the serfs in line, and an anonymous journalist streaming freedom broadcasts to the resistance.

And I’ve been meaning to recommend “Deadwood” to you. It makes “Hell on Wheels” look downright timid in comparison. “Deadwood” looses points since it never had a final season to resolve plot threads, but it is worth it anyway. Prepare to watch each episode four times to grok it all.

That’s fantastic news about Ben! You can’t keep a good Quaker down. Or a bad one!
